Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer

Christopher J. Nenninger is Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer of SPARTA, responsible for the enterprise risk management and internal audit function for the company. He is a member of the Audit and Risk Committees.

Prior to joining SPARTA as part of the initial management team responsible for launching the company, Mr. Nenninger was a Vice President and Director of Internal Audit for XL Capital, where he audited financial operations and compliance activities for its entities. Mr. Nenninger began his career in public accounting as Audit Supervisor for Pricewaterhouse Coopers. He entered the insurance industry as an internal auditor for Aetna, Inc., where he was an Audit Operations Manager and also served as the Project Management Office Head for certain compliance activities. Subsequently, Mr. Nenninger was Vice President and Director of Internal Audit for Alea Group, where he started the internal audit function and was focused on all aspects of program insurance operations.

Mr. Nenninger has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and an Associate of Science degree in Information Technology Processing from Quinnipiac University, and a master's degree in Management from Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute. Mr. Nenninger is a youth soccer coach and his interests include finance, field sports, and classic automobiles.
