President and Chief Operating Officer

Kevin G. Costello is co-founder, President and Chief Operating Officer of SPARTA.

Prior to founding SPARTA, Mr. Costello was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Alea Alternative Risk, a specialty program insurance provider which he co-founded as Equus Re Alternative Risk in 1998. In that capacity he was responsible for the operations management of the company. Mr. Costello began his career as an attorney practicing in Philadelphia and New York in the areas of insurance defense and coverage litigation for domestic and international clients. He entered the company side of the insurance industry as a claims attorney for Discover Re.

Mr. Costello has a Master of Laws degree in International and Comparative Law from Georgetown University Law Center, Juris Doctor degree from Temple University Law School, Bachelor of Arts degree in World Politics from The Catholic University of America, and studied at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. He is admitted to the bar in the states of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Mr. Costello is a member of the Board of Directors for the YMCA of Greater Hartford and Hartford Stage Company. His interests are history, literature, and public affairs.
