SPARTA Sr. VP of Business Operations, Enrico Ferrante, attended the ACORD LOMA Technology Conference in Las Vegas, NV on May 13-15, 2008. This conference provides an opportunity for senior managers and company executives to meet with ACORD & LOMA staff members, attend learning sessions, speak with other Carriers and meet insurance software Vendors. It is a great opportunity to meet industry peers and share ideas about: information standardization, discuss technology being deployed, business processes implemented, share ideas and speak to software vendors about new technologies. ACORD’s mission is to help standardize the format and content of that exchange of information to make it much easier for everyone in the space to communicate with each other.
"The insurance industry is constantly changing in the ways information is exchanged amount carriers, agents and regulatory bureaus and it is SPARTA's objective to ensure we are deploying a strategy for information exchange that is staying on the leading edge of what is being done in the industry. To help achieve SPARTA's objectives, we met with our strategic technology partners to discuss technology already being deployed, current information standardization projects, and to explore other technological strategies to exchange information between trading partners.
