Michael A. Visintainer is Executive Vice president, Corporate Secretary, and Chief Actuarial Officer of SPARTA, responsible for overall management of pricing, reserving, and supporting actuarial functions of the company. Mr. Visintainer is a member of the Underwriting and Risk Committees and oversees corporate reinsurance placements.
Prior to joining SPARTA as a member of the initial management team responsible for launching the company, Mr. Visintainer was the Chief Actuary at Discover Re. Mr. Visintainer began his career at Aetna Life and Casualty and Travelers Insurance as an actuary and later joined Chubb Executive Risk as an actuary supporting their healthcare operation.
Mr. Visintainer has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Mr. Visintainer is a youth lacrosse coach and his interests include running, hiking, and fishing.
