SPARTA Insurance Goes into Production with Insurity's Policy Decisions

13 Mar 2008

HARTFORD, Conn. - Feb. 18, 2008 - SPARTA Insurance Company, a start-up property and casualty insurer, has implemented Policy Decisions for Commercial Lines, a full policy administration system from Insurity, a ChoicePoint company (NYSE: CPS). SPARTA serves the insurance marketplace through program administrators who use Policy Decisions for rate, quote, policy-issuance and administration activities.

"We selected Policy Decisions for its functionality and the speed with which it could be delivered to our customers," said Enrico Ferrante, SPARTA senior vice president of business operations. "The system is a comprehensive solution that required only fine tuning and testing before implementation, which we were able to complete in six months. The timeline is a tribute to the product and Insurity's team of experts who helped us manage the project."

Ferrante said the reception by SPARTA's customers has been great because of Policy Decisions' many innovative features and ease of use. "Customers see it as value added to their business, and that is the ultimate compliment," he said.

"SPARTA challenged us to get them into production fast and, with a joint team effort, we got it done," said Dave Pedersen, Insurity senior vice president. "One of our primary strengths is providing assistance for start-ups and for existing companies to quickly get into new markets."
